END OF SEASON ARRANGEMENTS

Please see separate email with details of the AGM on 26th June and RVSP.

We have yet to take a 2010/11 team photo - so will do this at the next training session.

Please let me know your vote for Player of the Season.

As mentioned earlier in the year, we need to try to plan for 2011/12. If you are a definite YES or NO please let me know. If you want to discuss anything please give me/PerAxel/Jon Raymond or one of the parent reps a call. If you know any boys who fancy playing for Wanborough please ask them to get in touch.

Wasps 3 - 0 Shaw

A marvellous end to the season. When we get 100% from everyone like today we always play well and we deserved this result. We made lots of chances and threatened to score quite a few times. Tom scored first, Johan got another and then Charlie finished off a passing move he started at the halfway line to thump in from the 6-yd box.

We jump ahead of Shaw and Croft and are now 9th in the league (although Croft and Shaw both have a match to play - so we may drop off a little - but we will not be bottom!)

Many good performances today:
Congratulations to Jonny and his defence for keeping a clean sheet.
Captain's MoM (chosen by Tom): Charlie for midfield work and passing (and his goal)
Coaches MoM: James for what was probably his most effective play in a Wanborough shirt!

Congratulations to Johan - his 25th goal today moves him into 3rd pace in the league goal scorers list (second if we ignore the cup matches) - he gets our Golden Boot award. Arthur's 15 is a great total also.

No training Monday - we will give the boys a deserved rest this week. We will have a couple more sessions before the end of the season (check for emails).

Wasps 0 - 7 Avondale

We had a depleted squad today, with only 11 boys available. The first half was close - 2-0 down playing uphill and into the wind, but we had created a few good chances. After a promising start to the second half, unfortunately we had an injury to Arthur, so we played most of the second half with 10 men.

It was always going to be a struggle and a few players stepped up and put in the extra effort to make up for being a man down. However, Avondale took advantage of tired legs and the extra space to score more goals.

Captain's MoM (chosen by Jonny): Tom for some great midfield play and putting in the extra effort in 2nd half.
Coaches' MoM: Johan for 100% effort and also stepping up a gear when down to 10 men.
