Wasps 3 - 4 Stratton Yth

A tough competitive match today. Story of the season in that we played some good football, scored some good goals, but let in a couple of weak goals which ultimately left us without any points.

A goal-line "save" by Tom led to a penalty for Stratton which Jonny was unlucky not to keep out. Charlie took advantage of the keeper coming off his line to score two well-aimed long-distance goals. Unfortunately we failed to clear a long ball leading to another Stratton goal. 2-2 at half time.

We went off the boil for a while in the second half, conceding two more goals, before finishing strongly with a calmly-taken goal from Tom. We did well to keep our tempers with some strong challenges flying in from our opponents. Well done to everyone today for working hard. Some very good football played at times and some excellent defending.

Captain's MoM (chosen by Lewis): Charlie for dominating in midfield and two great goals
Coach's MoM: Will Witts for determined defending.

Next, and final match, is AWAY at Shaw on Sunday 29/4 2pm kick off. A win will guarantee we finish off the bottom of the table. (Is anyone not available?)

Training Monday 7pm - 8pmat the Rec (we will try to play until 8.15 but likely to be defeated by the light, so please be prepared to pick up at 8pm)
